Prima PokerPrima Poker is a network of poker rooms that has a slightly troubled history. This has resulted in a group of poker rooms that poker players either love or hate.On the positive side, the rooms offer a good set of poker games. They offer Texas Hold'em, Omaha, 7 Cared Stud, and 5 Card Stud and offer fantastic tournament opportunities for their players. Prima Poker has satellite tournaments for many land-based poker events the best being the Monte Carlo Millions an event that they sponsor. Prima Poker also has daily freeroll tournaments for new players and offers up a significant number of guaranteed money tournaments. They also offer bonuses such as: free ten dollar gifts for new players to be used at the real money tables, a Magic Hand bonus, and a progressive Bad Bet jackpot. On the negative side, the network has and is dealing with some problems, such as: Any player who signs up at more than one prima poker room and uses a different screen name at each of them, will cause a warning flag to be set in the Prima Poker system, this flag will lock all the accounts. Although you can see that Prima Poker wants to keep its' network simple by forcing players to use a single identity on the network, it's also easy for you to understand that a player using, say, Trident Lounge and Royal Vegas poker rooms would not see any need to have the same screen names at each, because they're different poker rooms. So, players have been known to make this simple mistake and have had their accounts locked. Another source of bad stories about Prima Poker has its origins in crooks that use stolen money to play. Apparently, these crooks use stolen credit cards to set up a poker account at Prima Poker and then quickly lose the money to an accomplice posing as another player, this player upon winning quickly cashes out, and viola, another successful theft using the poker room. Prima Poker is on the lookout for this type of scam and when they detect it quickly lock up the accounts of both players. However, a problem arises when some random player happens to win and he/she is simply playing poker and is not part of the scam. These honest poker players have inadvertently become involved in this type of situation, and their accounts have been locked as a result. However, even with the above mentioned problems the vast majority of Prima Poker players will experience no problems playing here. Myself, I enjoy it there, especially playing their low buy-in Heads Up tournaments. But, I take precautions, I remember that I must use the same screen name at all of the Prima Poker rooms, and I never play any large bankroll games on the network.
